That it not a question that I would like to answer. Maybe you should ask Vivienne instead.

Yes, I went straight to the study - that's where I thought either Black or his book would be.

I took it to smash either the study (to find the book) or Black. Unfortunately, I only used it for the former as Black was not there.

I used it to help me in my search for the book. I left it in the study.

I went to the Billiard Room for a game; but neither Plum or Green were there - so I went in search for them. I looked in the Hall, Dining Room and the Kitchen - but eventually found them back in the Billiard Room.

No - I found it on a table in there. Half of it had already been drunk - but I can't resist a Merlot.

My dear inspector, please do not insult me like that. However, to answer your question - my step-mother certainly had her suspicions about Mike and me; but Mike has her wrapped around his little finger. She will calm down now that the threat of the book has gone.

Hmmm... I probably shouldn't be telling you this... Oh well, I trust you not to tell HER. Elizabeth recently took me out of her will (after one of our many arguments). Mike and I were being careful not to upset her, so that she would write me back in again. It looked like she was about to - till this all blew up.

We were in there for quite some time. I was trying to convince her that David's accusation was based solely on rumour. We left the room at the same time; she headed towards the Study and I headed for the Kitchen.

No, I went straight there.

Not very long. Mrs. White and I had a brief chat about Black; then she said she had to take the candlestick back to the dining room, so left. I stayed only a few moments while I collected my thoughts, then went to find Black.

I went to find Black to confront him over his accusations. The first place I looked for him, was in the Ballroom - but I found Peter and the reverend there instead.

To be blunt, I found it in the kitchen - and I thought I'd threaten Black with it! Silly, I know.

After Plum and Green had left me in the Ballroom, I continued my search for David. I took the spanner with me. I think I may have dropped it after I... found his body.

How dare you?! I'm not answering that without my lawyer present!

I was thinking about what Black had said; and how I could stop him from publishing his book.

I went to think in the Ballroom. The seats in their are far more comfortable than those in the conservatory.

I had come up with two possible solutions to our predicament. One, I realised that Black had very little proof to his accusations - so a very good lawyer could threaten him with deformation of character! The second... well, lets just say that I've known David since we were at school - and there's a good few skeletons in his closet as well!

I found it in the Ballroom. I was just playing with it while I thought.

Erm, I think I may have taken it with me to the Billiard Room. I would have put it down in there.

Yes, quite a few. I think someone may have been going about smashing things!

Hmmm... David has been a close friend of several of my husbands. I'm sure that they may have told him some "juicy gossip" that he could use in his book.

Ha! My dear inspector, I am not that naïve! I've know about their affair for some time - they don't know that though, so please keep it just between you and me. However, I'm enjoying the attention that Michael is paying me - so I'm not ending the relationship just yet.

I went to the Study to ask Black what exactly he thought he was doing?

I took it with me just-in-case David gave me the wrong answers.

I hid it in my pocket when I found Michael in the study instead of Black. Oh! It's gone!!

I went to the Hall.

Ah, well. After Black's threats and Vivienne and Michael's lies - I needed to vent a little anger. Unfortunately I vented it on the items in the Hall.

I used the lead piping that Michael had left in the study.

That is none of your business!

I went to the Library to contemplate the turn of events.

I temporarily lost my senses. I felt I was backed into a corner and the only way out was through David.

I went to the Ballroom, to try to calm down.

I was alone for a while. Then Peter came and joined me in there.

Oh, a fair bit of time. Vivienne can act like a hunting dog when she smells the scent of something going on.

Very little. We kept being interrupted.

It has taken me eight years to get over my husband's death; and now Dr. Black is ... was making me remember things I would rather forget.

I went to the Kitchen.

I couldn't leave it covered in cheesecake!

After speaking to Vivienne, I took it back to the Dining Room.

I only saw Vivienne in the Kitchen and Mrs. Peacock in the Hall.

I took her to the Lounge, to sit down. She was most upset, poor thing.
